linking up to Grace's blog party

{one} let us start by your telling a little bit about your own self. tell us a bit of your personality. perhaps, tell a bit of your interests and pastime.
A: well, i am going to be fourteen tomorrow. :) i am a lover of babies, vintage fashion, chocolate, books, interior design, crafting, sewing, drawing, photography, jewelry making, piano playing, dancing. :) *whew* i love english country dancing, the kind in Jane Austen's books. :) i like frilly dresses, nautical inspired clothing, sandals, ballet flats, fascinator hats, boots.
{two} what literary character {whether it be in a film or book} would you say, most describes your personality and mannerisms?
A: hmm... that's really hard! ;) perhaps Anna Barker, from Janette Oke's book "The Measure of a Heart". i sometimes lack self confidence and often feel inadequate for certain tasks. but i love learning new things (especially about Norway, shout out to Katrine!) and reading.
{three} what would you describe as the most lovely place to live in 1700's England? a cottage surrounded by woods or a mansion perhaps, to the same resemblance as Pemberley in Miss Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
A: either. :) i love the look of old cottages, but i also the like of some mansions. of course, a cottage would be much more practical and easy to clean! ;)

{four} list some of your favorite and least favorite literary works you have read.
A: (favorite): "Across Five Aprils", "The Measure of a Heart", "The Princess Adelina", "Heidi", "Hans Brinker", and quite a few others! :) i don't think i have any 'least favorite' books.

{five} what would you describe as a most admirable heroine?
A: one who is kind and compassionate to others, yet not blind to their faults. one who can love her enemies and her friends. :)

{six} if you could spend afternoon tea in the company of your favorite literary heroine, to whom would you spend it with?
A: probably the Princess Adelina. she actually is a real life princess who lived around 700 A.D. :) she was all a true heroine should be!

{seven} which is to your liking more :: tea or coffee?
A: tea, probably. i can only have so much coffee.

{eight} which of Jane Austen's couples are your more fond of?

A: Mr. Darcy and Lizzy Bennet, Captain Wentworth and Anne Elliot. :)

{nine} what is one {a few} of your favorite literary quotes?
A: hmm... i cannot think of any. sorry. :(

{ten} are you fond of dancing or singing or reading a good book?
A: how about all three!!

{eleven} and lastly, as this event is also hosted in celebration of my garden's second anniversary, would you mind explaining perhaps, how you stumbled upon my little plot of earth? wink.
A: i honestly cannot remember. i think it may have been a giveaway, or miss Johanna's blog.
