Autumn Inspiration (Home Decor)

I bought this wreath at a garage sale for about $.75

This is so much for autumn, but it's cute anyway. I think they are coasters for cups.

A Prayer Request

Please pray for my Great-grandma Una Mae McKnight. She had a stroke and hemorrhaging on the brain about a month ago. She was in the hospital for several weeks. Now she is in a rehab facility, but the rehab staff were pressuring my Grandma Kautt (Una's daughter) to bring Una home and get the hospice. Hospice starts tomorrow. :(  Also, Great-grandma is still in a coma. Your prayers-- for my two Grandma's and my Dad-- are certainly appreciated!!!

In Response To Jo March's tag

Here are my answers to the questions for Jo's birthday party. She's having a giveaway to go along with it! :)

{1} when you think of "old movies", what immediately comes to mind?
"Sergeant York" (starring Gary Cooper)

Alvin and his girlfriend, Gracie

{2} who's your one of you favorite film or literary heroes (or heroines) and why?

Probably Jethro Creighton (from "Across Five Aprils", or Hans (from "Hans Brinker) as my favorite heroes.

Isn't Jeth so very handsome? :)

As far as my favorite heroines-- they would have to be--- Chaya Bielski (a true life character, portrayed by Mia Wasikowska, in "Defiance") or Heidi (from "Heidi").
Chaya and Asael (pronounce "Uh-soul") Bielski - Played by Mia Wasikowska and Jamie Bell.

The real Asael and Chaya Bielski

{3} if you could live in a movie, which one would it be and why?
Probably "The Magic of Ordinary Days". There is a mixture of hardship during WWII, forgiveness, love, romance, and more. :)

i love, love, love all of Livy's outfits-- don't you? :)

I like Ray's expression in this photo. He's so full of love towards Livy (whom he has married already), but Livy doesn't really love him.-- She only married Ray because she had gotten pregnant and needed help out of the mess. In reality, she still loves her boyfriend. Anyway, I won't ruin the rest of the story for you!! :)

Livy with Ray's sister. :) They are both so pretty!!

Classic 1940s woman. <3

{4} music has changed a lot since 1900 - which "modern" type of music is your favorite?
I really don't like modern music. Well, perhaps some Big Band. But I'm a huge fan of Chopin and Classical music!!! :)

{5} any songs you'd like to share with us? (lyrics, video, etc.)

Yeah, one is the lyrics from "Lead Me" by Sanctus Real:
"I look around and see my wonderful life
Almost perfect from the outside
In picture frames, I see my beautiful wife
Always smiling, but on the inside

Oh, I can hear her saying

Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, but what about us?

Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone

I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes
They're just children from the outside
I'm working hard, I tell myself they'll be fine
They're independent, but on the inside

Oh, I can hear them saying

Lead me with strong hands
Stand up when I can't
Don't leave me hungry for love
Chasing dreams, what about us?

Show me you're willing to fight
That I'm still the love of your life
I know we call this our home
But I still feel alone

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I'm called to be
Oh Father, show me the way
To lead them

Won't You lead me?

To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't
Don't want to leave them hungry for love
Chasing things that I could give up

I'll show them I'm willing to fight
And give them the best of my life
So we can call this our home
Lead me 'cause I can't do this alone

Father, lead me 'cause I can't do this alone".

{6} if your life had soundtrack, what would yours sound like?
The soundtrack from "Pride and Prejudice" (both 1995 and 2005) or "The Young Victoria" soundtrack. Love, love, love! :) <3

{7} when do you start counting down till your birthday?

Now. ;) Well, not to the exact day or hour. But it's in approximately 3 and half months.

{8} what makes your birthday special?
Being together with family and friends! :) And eating Alden's ice-cream!!!!

{9} do you ever wish you were born in a different month?

Naw, not really. :) I love the fact that I was born in February, because one my besties has her Birthday three days before mine! :)

{10} pick and post five words to describe your personality - you can add a description under each if you like.

Friendly - most of the time, I am the one who initiates a conversation with someone I've never met, particularly young ladies that are *ahem* home-educated! ;)
Bold - (see, I wrote "Bold" in bold. ;P) I sometimes surprise myself by my boldness.
I love babies and young children!
Mischievous - well, to a certain degree. I know your going, "yeah, right! you'd never tell us that you really are very mischievous". ;)
Immature - yes, I am. I still need to grow and I strive every day that, with God's help, I will become more wise and mature as a Christian. You can pray for me regarding that!!! Thanks! :) God bless!

Surprise, Surprise!

Nick Jonas thinks modesty is essential in a spouse/potential spouse?? :) Not that I like the Jonas Bros, but anyway. Thought this was interesting... "Modesty is the key, when it comes to finding the perfect mate." ~ Nick Jonas
